Cricket Coaching – What we offer
Our individual Coaching option is the most popular option as players consistently see critical gains through each lesson. Each cricketer’s individual preparation efforts can have a major impact on their short- and long-term achievement and ultimately, their side’s performances. All sessions are 50 minutes long and tailored to the individual’s needs. We deliver a host of technical coaching and scenario work and, when applicable, these are all aided by constant video analysis.
Small Group Coaching
This follows a similar model as the one-to-one coaching but based on a three-to-one environment. Here players get to compete against each other as well as intervention work with their coach in between. This is a fantastic option through pre-season and gives each player the perfect opportunity to embed fundamental technical work.
A six-to-one ratio for players that develop in a more relaxed environment whilst enjoying being surrounded by friends. Our focus remains consistent with the above to; improving the individuals’ fundamental skills first and then branching out to the scenario elements of the game. These sessions are 1hr 30 long.
A variety of holiday coaching available to players aged 7 to 13 years old. A full clinic day runs from 09:30 to 15:30 with an early drop off and late pick up option available. Coaching is in ratios of 10 to a coach and each participant receives a free t-shirt.
Schools & Clubs
These programmes can range from small group to large group coaching and cover all aspects of the organisation’s requirements. Whether you want a specialist session delivered in a specific area of the game or just another voice repeating the schools cricketing mantra. The Andy Northcote Cricket Academy matches your needs under seminars, short- or long-term contracts.
These are delivered by Andy Northcote and assisted, by further professionals when required. A perfect coaching inset for staff wanting to upskill and deliver cricket. These range from the complete beginner and how to coach through basic games right the way through detailed analytical performance coaching.
Is your organisation looking to implement a new cricket programme or structure? With our extensive knowledge base, experiences and resources we are able to provide detailed options that will work for your organisation and the implication of each option within. Andy and the team have implemented a number of programmes in Dublin, Cape Town and now Suffolk in Schools, Clubs and Minor Counties so sits perfectly placed to advise you.
I’ve worked closely with Andy Northcote over the past three years and his enthusiasm for the game is second to none. He continuously strives for us (Suffolk CCC) to get better, both as a team and individually. His high standards and hard work ethic is what sets him apart from the other Minor County coaches on the circuit. I would recommend him to any individual looking to take his or her game to the next level.

Woolpit Cricket Club are pleased to announce Andy Northcote has re-joined the club for 2019 season as the Player Coach. We are looking forward to the strength and commitment he will bring to the club in both roles. Andy’s coaching ability and enthusiasm will enhance our coaching team greatly at all levels from juniors, ladies to adults. It is a pleasure to welcome him back in a coaching role at the club and his coaching abilities and experience gained from working with the Suffolk men’s team for the past few seasons to all levels can only assist /develop players at our club.
Vice-Chair, Woolpit Cricket Club
I have known Andy Northcote since he first arrived at Woolpit Cricket Club some years ago and have watch him mature into an excellent coach at all levels.
He has always been very hard working, enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn from other more experienced coaches and adapt that to his own methods. On obtaining his level 3 ECB Coaching badge, his coaching has risen with the experience gained and has since been able to take this to another level.
Whether it be with more talented players like the Suffolk County Men’s Squad, in one to one coaching, whatever their ability, or doing group sessions with youngsters starting out in cricket. His ability to coach all areas of the game and his adaptability means that he can pass this onto all so best results are achieved by all. A great example is his past Cricket Camps for youngsters which have always had great feedback when introduced at Woolpit and then Culford School. If looking to improve your game whatever your ability I certainly would recommend him highly.
